Demag Mobile Cranes is one of the world leaders in mobile cranes for large and very large loads. Its product range includes lattice boom crawler cranes for loads up to 1,600 t and boom heights up to 234 m. These huge helpers are in particular demand for projects in the shipbuilding and offshore platforms areas or for building power plants, bridges or chemical plants. They have also become indispensable for assembling wind power stations, which have now reached pole heights of up to 100 m and nacelle weights of several hundred tons.
Due to the sophisticated optimization of crane construction in terms of strength and weight, a wide range of tubes are required for fabrication. The outer diameters range from 31.8 to 368 mm with a wall thickness from 2.9 to 40 mm.
