Details:
Perimeter tubular steel framing and cantilever roof trusses support a series of “umbrellas” held up by flying masts. The roof follows the undulating elevation at the back of the stands and provides cover to 80 000 seated spectators.
The raised tubular perimeter frame acts as a boundary supporting structure to which 32 bays of fabric panels, ridge and suspension cables are anchored. It becomes the worlds longest cantilevered steel truss roof structure.
