Particularité:
The structure provides a covering to an existing tier of seats, for athletics and soccer supporters, which forms part of a multisport facility in the city of Villafranca de los Barros (Spain). This roof, placed 11 meter high, provides a shadow of 63 meter long and 13 meter wide. The tier has a seating capacity for 1000 supporters.
The roof structure is made as a multiplanar (triangular) lattice girder, slightly curved , of 63,5 meter span. It is composed of three uniplanar Warren lattice girders.The structural elements used are Circular Hollow Sections.
The structure was built on the ground behind the tier, and on completion of the cladding was lifted into its final position. One of the advantages of this solution was that the construction works did not interference with the normal use of the rest of the sports facilities.
