CIDECT Award 2010

CIDECT presents awards at each International Symposium on Tubular Structures (ISTS) for work in the field of hollow sections.

Details of the next ISTS, number 13, to be held in Hongkong in December, are available on internet: www.hku.hk/civil/ISTS13

CIDECT will present awards in two categories:

One for a research project (Research Award) and one for a hollow section based design (Design Award).

In both categories there will be certificates for the winner and the two runners up. For the winner in both categories there will get 1.000 €, the 2nd and 3rd will get a 500 € award.

All papers have to be sent to CIDECT in electronic format. A judging panel will select up to three projects for the final voting which take place during a special session of the symposium. That means that CIDECT pays for the travelling expenses of the 6 finalists (one per paper).

Closing date for 2-page abstract to CIDECT (in English language):	28. February 2010
Prejudging by CIDECT:	01. May 2010
Camera ready manuscript to ISTS secretary:	30. July 2010
Presentation on ISTS symposium:	15. - 17. December 2010
